Terms and conditions

Our Policy:

  • Course placement is not guaranteed without full payment.

  • Courses should be paid in full at time of booking. For courses that require a deposit, the full course cost must be paid at minimum 14-days prior to the course start date

  • If you must reschedule, you will be placed in the next available course. You will need to pay the difference (if any) in the cost of the course.

  • Cancellations with 14 or more days notice may be entitled to a full refund, minus a $25 administrative fee. If course materials have been provided at time of cancellation, they will be deducted from the refund amount.

  • Cancellations more than 7 and less than 14 days are entitled to a 50% refund. If course materials have been provided at time of cancellation, they will be deducted from the refund amount.

  • Cancellations within 7 days are not entitled to any refund.

  • For applicable courses - If you miss more then 10% of your course for any reason, the entire course must be retaken (per Transport Canada regulations) at your own cost.

  • Training Certificates are not issued without payment in full

  • For courses requiring Fatigue Management at Sea pre-requisite - Proof of completion should be sent during registration. If you have not completed at time of registration please note this must be emailed to training@saferoceans.com within 10 days of completing your Safer Oceans course or you will not be issued a certificate and will need to re-take the course at full cost

  • For courses with Practical Submissions - submissions must be sent to your instructor within 10 days of completing your Safer Oceans course or you will not be issued a certificate and will need to re-take the course at full cost
