STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft (formerly MED B1) certification is required for crew members on these vessel types: -Passenger Vessels: This includes ferries and cruise ships that carry passengers on domestic or international voyages1. -Cargo Ships: Vessels that transport goods and operate in international waters2. -Offshore Supply Vessels: Ships that support offshore oil and gas operations. -Fishing Vessels: Larger commercial fishing boats, especially those operating in more hazardous or remote areas.
