MED STCW REF - Refresher Basic Safety, Survival Craft, & Advanced Fire

STCW MED refresher course meets the requirements of TP 4957E and is for MED STCW Basic Safety, MED STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft, and STCW MED Advanced Fire Fighting. It will renew these three certificates and extend them for an additional 5 years.

Description

This refresher course is for MED STCW Basic Safety, MED STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft, and STCW MED Advanced Fire Fighting.  It will renew these certificates and extend them for an additional 5 years.

This course meets the requirements of TP 4957E and the requirements for Personal Survival Techniques, Basic Firefighting, and Personal Safety and Social Responsibility set out in Table A-VI/1-1, Table A-VI/1-2 and Table A-VI/1-4; the minimum standard of competence in Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, other than Fast Rescue Craft as set out in Table A-VI/2-1; and STCW Code Table A-VI/3, Advanced Fire Fighting of the STCW Code including 2010 Manila amendments.

Prerequisites

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Must be at least 16 years of age.
  2. Have a valid TC Marine Medical Certificate or arrange in advance with us a Health and Fitness Waiver before the Firefighting component of the course.
  3. Must hold a valid STCW Basic Safety training Certificate.
  4. Must hold a valid STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats
  5. Must hold a valid STCW Advanced Fire Fighting
